Welcome to the NAMEPA Maritime Sustainability Passport (MSP) Program!
This two Phase Program is based on what we consider our Six Transparency Pillars:
- Waste Management
- GHG Emissions
- Education
- Technology
- Social
- Governance
The two phases are:
Initial Phase: Participants Overview - Guidelines - Current Status on Sustainability and Environmental Care (this phase applies to all registrants)
*** You will have 2 days to finish this phase
Final Phase: Internal Policies, Procedures, Measures and Sustainability Commitment (this phase is divided into three groups according to type of company/organization/individual. You will complete the group applicable to you.)
*** You will have 1 month to finish this phase
After you finish and submit the Final Phase, your submission will be assessed by ESGplus, an independent consulting firm that specializes in this work. ESGplus has signed a non-disclosure agreement with NAMEPA to provide these services and ensure the participant’s confidentiality.
After completion and positive assessment of your submission (minimum score of 60%), you will receive a Maritime Sustainability Passport & MSP Seal from NAMEPA as recognition of your commitment and successful participation in this program, the effort you have shown to align with ESG best practices, and the affirmation that you are following the guidelines of the program. This recognition will be published across industry media.
The Maritime Sustainability Passport & MSP Seal will be valid for a period of one year. After one year you will receive an email from NAMEPA to renew your participation. This will prompt you to go through the program again to qualify for a Passport & Seal.
Thank you in advance for your participation and commitment!
