The NAMEPA Maritime Sustainability Passport (MSP) Program remains the only assessment program designed specifically for the maritime industry featuring all three elements of sustainability- the E, the S, and the G. Since its launch in 2020, many companies have matriculated through the program and earned their Maritime Sustainability Passport (MSP) & MSP Seal. The goal of the NAMEPA MSP Program is to help track and measure your ESG performance on an annual basis and to improve your industry practices in a sustainable global society.

The NAMEPA Maritime Sustainability Passport (MSP) Program offers a vehicle to incorporate ESG strategies including:

  • Corporate Citizenship
  • Environmental Stewardship
  • Leadership/Governance

Earn your Maritime Sustainability Passport & MSP Seal

The program is offered to NAMEPA members at no cost to participate and qualify for the Maritime Sustainability Passport (MSP) and the MSP Seal.

The fee for non-members is:

  • Companies – $5,000
  • NGO's – $1,500
  • Individuals – $300
  • For all Teachers, Students & Seafarers, this program is free (upon proof of ID)

Note: If you choose to join NAMEPA at the corresponding membership rate, the fee will be waived.

The MSP & MSP Seal will be valid for a period of one year. After one year, you will receive an email from NAMEPA to renew both. The price of renewing your MSP & MSP Seal is $1,000 company rate, NGO’s $500, Individuals $150, and the program must be completed again.

Upon completion, participants will receive the MSP & MSP Seal, which will be used to signify the participant met, or exceeded, the benchmarks for the NAMEPA Maritime Sustainability Passport (MSP) Program. The program offers basic guidelines for the maritime industry along with a Tool Kit for achieving these guidelines and developing best practices using ESG principles.
