October 22, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Register Now!

Reignite your passion for teaching alternative students in a 3-hour virtual convening on Oct. 22 with New England Science & Sailing Foundation and NOAA! Connecticut’s Congressman Joe Courtney, a champion of alternative education and the environment, will kick off the event with an exciting keynote. Then, NESS will take you on a deep dive into best practices for implementing meaningful watershed environmental experiences designed to help students within alternative learning programs explore and gain greater respect for their local environment and waterways. You’ll also get the first look and training on our NEW and FREE toolkit comprised of NOAA-focused experiential-based classroom lesson plans. This virtual program, and the toolkit, is free to teachers, thanks to funding by a NOAA “B-WET” grant and the New England Science & Sailing Foundation.
