Partner with NAMEPA for a Beach Clean Up!

Marine Debris is a problem that has endangered coastlines around the world. Thanks to research conducted through beach clean ups and research studies, we know how seriously marine debris impacts marine habitats, marine wildlife, human health, safety and navigation as well as the economy.

Plastic bags, abandoned fishing gear and other debris can smother sensitive coral reef habitats as well as benthic (bottom-dwelling) ecosystems. Each year, many marine animals and organisms become entangled in or ingest various forms of debris.

Despite its prevalence marine debris is a challenge that everyone can help prevent! Every action counts towards saving our seas!
