What a great time to be in the maritime industry! Not in my lifetime have we seen such a focus on our industry and how to restore it to our nation’s former glory! This will not happen overnight, but demand signals are being sent that we need to get this done! NAMEPA is right in line with these new developments as the “Balance of Commerce and Conservation” works to Save Our Seas!
It was my honor to attend the INTERTANKO North American Panel meeting held in conjunction with the CMA SHIPPING 2025 conference in Stamford, where NAMEPA’s member Todd Clough of Fairfield Chemical Carriers (now MOL Chemical Carriers) participated in the Commodore’s Debate (along with other NAMEPA Commodores like
Lois Zabrocky and John Hadjipateras (Image 1) was inducted as Commodore. NAMEPA’s booth location just outside the conference room ensured that we saw everyone there!
I delivered a keynote speech on “Revitalizing the US Maritime Industry” (Image 2) and also participated in the Nuclear Panel discussion (Image 3). No one fell asleep, which is a good sign!
