NAMEPA Members Climb on Board 15th Anniversary Annual Conference and Marine Environment Protection Awards Dinner Event

October 17, 2022: Carleen Lyden Walker, Co-Founder and CEO, announced that North American Marine Environment Protection Association’s (NAMEPA) 15th Anniversary Annual Marine Environment Protection Conference and Awards Event Registration is being supported by over 30 of its members. This signature event is being held on board the Hornblower Infinity in New York City on October 27th, 2022. 

The celebratory activities will launch with a conference gazing into the crystal ball to see what the next 15 years in maritime holds, plus a leadership roundtable consisting of the NAMEPA Marine Environment Protection Award winners.  All participants, which will include maritime professionals, active mariners, and students will be welcome at NAMEPA’s Annual General Meeting which will review the past year’s activities.

The conference will be followed by NAMEPA’s Annual Marine Environment Protection Awards (MEP Awards) Dinner recognizing the achievements of industry leaders, companies, organizations, and government agencies in their efforts to “Save Our Seas.”  This year’s award recipients include American Bureau of Shipping, Kai Martin of Pasha Group, Blue Sky Maritime Coalition, Dr. Michael Alfultis and SUNY Maritime College, the Port of Long Beach, Cargill, the Seaman’s Church Institute, the Department of Energy’s Wind Power Technologies Office, and Principle Power.
