NAMEPA Welcomes Its Newest Members – Cheniere Energy, Inc. and Port of Long Beach

February 24, 2020 –  Weston, CT  –  Carleen Lyden Walker, Co-Founder and Executive Director of the North American Marine Environment Protection Association (NAMEPA), announced today that Cheniere Energy, Inc., and the Port of Long Beach (POLB) have become corporate members of NAMEPA.

“We are honored to welcome two significant industry leaders to NAMEPA’S roster of corporate members. Cheniere is providing a greener fuel option for energy use, and POLB is one of the largest and environmentally progressive ports in the world,” Walker expressed.  “Everyone at NAMEPA is excited to have these two important organizations committed to helping advance our mission to preserve the marine environment and promote sustainable marine industry best practices.”

“We’re pleased to be part of NAMEPA and will work to collaborate on environmental and sustainability best practices,” said Guy Nicholls, Cheniere’s Director, Marine Operations. “We pride ourselves on being good stewards of the marine environment and are constantly seeking ways to expand our expertise.”
